Evelyne's Water Exercises from the Villa Cento Passi

WARNING:  Please ask your doctor PRIOR to getting into any pool following major surgery, most surgeons require that your wound is fully healed.  Listen to your surgeon's advice.

Evelyne's advise is to be careful in the pool because it is much easier to exercise in water than on land. Use common sense...if it hurts don't do it...and again, ALWAYS clear it with your own surgeon first prior to getting into a pool following surgery.

For a waterproof bandage post op, Dr.DeSmet uses Suprasorb F made by Lohmann-Rauscher (a German Co.). Tegaderm by 3M Co. may be a suitable alternative, but check with your surgeon. If you are pre-op, then of course you can still do these exercises and not worry about any wound or bandage.
