“Gary here; day 1 on the road 11 mile ride 7 weeks post surgery and felt great!”
Ed Walsh Rt. BHR 5/6/14 Dr. Rogerson.
After thoroughly researching hip resurfacing my wife Rita and I boarded a plane from New York to Madison, Wisconsin on Tuesday May 6th 2014. I have always been very active and was afraid that hip surgery would drastically change my lifestyle. Rita's sister, Renee Burke has been a PA for Dr. Rogerson for many years and she has always talked about the wonderful work Dr Rogerson does.

“Walt Disney World with 3 year old granddaughters five months after right hip resurfacing. I walked Disney for 15 hours without pain. This 55 year old faired better than my 36 year old son and daughter in law!”
Greg Nelson 2/26/14 Dr. Scott Cook
I have always been active. From the time I was a kid, I played baseball, tennis, swam, etc., but my real love was always running. I started jogging on a two lane country road outside of Olathe, Kansas when I was 16, and gradually worked up to where I was running 4 to 5 miles, about 4 or 5 days a week, through high school, college, and most of my adult life.
Douglas Squire-Bilateral BHR’s Rt. 6/17/13,Lt. 12/5/13 Dr. Rogerson
People were so great at Stoughton Hospital. They provided me with good, attentive care. The admitting nurse even visited me in the room 24 hours later! That demonstrates a caring person. HipHab is the best laid out rehab program.
Darrah Yates RBHR 12/10/09 Dr. Klug
I am 55, female, single, live in Denver CO, healthy, and have Kaiser insurance. Two winters ago, 2007, I slipped on the ice in front of my home and landed on my right side. No big deal at the time as I got up and continued on my way. But over time I started having trouble with that right hip. And by trouble I mean it started to ache and the range of motion started to reduce.
Jeff Feck Dr. Rogerson RBHR 11/5/09
Wow! That’s the first thing that comes to mind when I think about my BHR resurfacing. I’m nearing 38 years old and the 2 year mark on my surgery. Yet I feel like I’m much younger again and never had surgery at all. I’m sure there are a lot of people doing some amazing things on this hip, but sometimes I wonder if I could be an example case for what the BHR procedure can do for a person and what the hip materials can withstand.
Ben Ernsberger - 31 years old, Myspace, Dr. Su
I was twelve years old when I first learned that I had hip problems. I’m now coming around the corner on thirty-two. That’s twenty years of pain and restrictions. A twenty year long chapter of life that is finally coming to an end
Jeri Springstead Bilateral 12/07 & 5/09 Dr. Koen De Smet
Dr. DeSmet resurfaced my left hip on May 13th in Gent. (I'm a 55 year old, active female.) Surgery was in the new, modern hospital about 6km from the Villa. (My husband borrowed a bike from the Villa to ride out to see me.) The care and facility were great. After only a day, I went back to the Villa, and stayed there just 6 more days and flew back to the States. I was on minimal pain pills.

No seats on the trains either. Some Nazi looking conductor kicked me out of the EMPTY first class car. Hauling heavy bags through 4 train cars-with a bad hip while moving, hitting people in the face along the way looking for a seat... not fun. Because the 2cd class trains were full I had to stand all the way to Gent with my luggage on my head wobbling with the sway of the train.
Daniel Kennelly 11/19/08 Dr. Nerlich Germany
My name is Daniel and this is my story…I first want to thank all those that have provided me with insight and advice on this procedure.
